Generators are routinely overlooked when developing an operations and maintenance program.
As generator fleets mature, the potential for availability-limiting events increase. However, if an operations and maintenance program is developed early and coincides with the outage window of the turbine, forced outages can be minimized and availability requirements can be managed. Western-Power offers these plans with multiple Generator Assessment Program (GAP) options.
We have developed several options that allow for varying levels of testing during different types of outages. These options include both rotor-in and rotor-out assessments, with a completion time from 7-10 days to as low as 12 hours. Regardless of the option selected, a GAP inspection will provide valuable information about your generator to ensure that your unit is optimally functioning.
